English Tutoring

This programme aims to support Key Stage 4 Study. It looks at the skills required for a pass, both in coursework and exam content.

The course explores the set texts of the tutee's school programme, alongside essay skills and is able to focus, if there are specific weaknesses on one to a deeper extent.

More specifically, skills will be developed in understanding themes, plot, language, character, structure and other such devices and in explaining them sufficiently in writing.

Like the other programmes offered, this course is flexible and could be applied to just one text or area of difficulty should the need arise.
